Parks in Toronto
Let’s talk about parks. There are so many Parks in Toronto, today we’ll focus on the area of Etobicoke. The Humber River gently moves through Etobicoke and makes it way downtown to Lake Ontario. Along the river there are some very beautiful parks that are worth a visit.
There are some great parks in Toronto and Centennial Park is one of them. This is one of the biggest parks in the city and it includes amenities such as a sprawling conservatory, ski hill and pro-level BMX course. The park combines sports and natural beauty.
Colonel Sam Smith Park
Located in the Kipling and Lakeshore area is Colonel Sam Smith Park. This park is known to be one of the best for a summer picnic. It has lovely access to the lake with amazing views. And it’s also designated bird sanctuary with a variety of plants, trees, birds and other wildlife. And the park has Toronto’s first ice skating trail. Visit when you can and when the weather is just right.
The Humber Arboretum has to be one of the most beautiful green spaces in the city. And is north-west corner of Toronto near Humber College North Campus. The park is a great place to walk and take in the beautiful nature which includes a pond and various trails, flowers and other plant life. Take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of this wonderful park.
Humber Bay Park East
The final park on our list is Humber Bay Park East. This is a complex of parks that hug the mouth of the Humber River. Take a ride on your bike along the gorgeous waterfront trail or take a walk over to the Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat. Here you can see native wildflowers, shrubs, trees, grasses, sedges. Visit the beautiful Humber Bay Park East in the summer and take in the views and enjoy the fresh air.
The spring and summer are wonderful seasons to visit Toronto and explore the parks and enjoy nature. Right now, we understand that you might not be able to get out and see one of these parks.
