Toronto This Spring

High Park
High Park is located at 1873 Bloor Street W and is one of Toronto’s largest parks. The park features hiking trails, sports facilities, lots of diverse vegetation, parking, dog park, a zoo, a play ground and the famous cherry trees. The Sakua Trees are famous Japanese cherry trees and are very popular. However, the blossoms don’t last forever so get there as soon as they bloom. Make sure that you visit High Park in Toronto this spring.
Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix in Concert
An experience what will be unforgettable, watch the magical performance by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra as they perform Nicholas Hoopers score. This is the first time audiences can experience Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix live. Admission to this show is $49-$175 and the show runs from May 2nd until May 4th.
Victoria Day Booze Cruise & Fireworks
On May 20th spend your Victoria Day on a booze cruise and experience fireworks from Lake Ontario. This cruise includes a cash bar, fireworks display and entertainment. Admission is $34-$40 and you can begin to board at 5pm. The cruise leaves promptly at 6pm and returns at 10:30pm.
Grilled Cheese Challenge
On Saturday June 8th at Islington and Lakeshore Blvd West you can indulge in everyones favourite sandwich, the grilled cheese. Starting at 11am you can taste and vote for your favourites in three different categories, Best Tasting, Most Unique and Best Gourmet. And there will be live music, entertainment, speciality drinks and a beer garden. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday in June.
Distillery District
Toronto’s historic Distillery District is a wonderful place to visit all year round but in spring and summer the weather is just perfect. You can enjoy various restaurants, shopping, galleries, theatres and lounges. Walking around and enjoying the beautiful and interesting Distillery District is recommended if your visiting Toronto on vacation or for a day trip.
BurgerMainia
Do you love burgers? If you do, you’ll want to get to BurgerMania from May 31st to June 2nd and try some of the greatest burgers. Admission to this event is free and will be located at Younge-Dundas Square from 11am-10pm on Friday, 11am-10pm on Saturday and 11am-8pm on Sunday.
Art Gallery of Ontario
The Art Gallery of Ontario is open all year round but spring is a lovely time to visit the city. And if you’re visiting Toronto you have to see the art gallery. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am until 5pm and open until 9pm on Fridays. There’s always an exhibit or event going on that is worth checking out. So it’s best to check their website for details and admission fees before heading out.
